CTV to go Commercial Free on Ontario Election Night

With the Ontario provincial election culminating on Thursday 7th June, CTV News will air ‘Election 2018’, a live commercial-free, province-wide election special beginning at 9 p.m. ET on CTV, CTV News Channel, CTVNews.ca, and the CTV News GO app.

CTV News will deliver live election updates from ridings to watch across the province, covering the wins and losses as the results unfold and the new government forms.

Hosted by CTV Toronto anchors Ken Shaw and Michelle Dubé, Election 2018 will provide insight into the race for the Premier’s office with CTV Toronto’s Zuraidah Alman and John Musselman reporting from Kathleen Wynne’s Liberal Party headquarters, Colin D’Mello and Austin Delaney reporting from Doug Ford’s PC Party headquarters, and Tracy Tong and Sean Leathong reporting from Andrea Horwath’s NDP headquarters.

The live special features additional reports from CTV Ottawa anchor Graham Richardson, as well as reporters from CTV Barrie, CTV Kitchener, CTV London, CTV Northern Ontario, and CTV Windsor.

Election 2018 also features comprehensive analysis from a political panel that includes Jenni Byrne, advisor on the Doug Ford campaign and former Campaign Manager to Stephen Harper; Olivia Chow, Distinguished Visiting Professor of Ryerson University and former NDP MP; and Jim Warren, political strategist and former Communications Director to Dalton McGuinty.
