For the Third Consecutive Week, Univision Finishes Ahead of CBS During Primetime Among Adults 18-34.
Last week, Univision finished ahead of CBS and CW in primetime for the third consecutive week with 223,000 Adults 18-34 and surpassed the CW network with 572,000 Adults 18-49 and 1.4 million Total Viewers 2+.
Univision also ranked as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during primetime with double-digit audience advantages over Telemundo among Total Viewers 2+ (+27% adv.), marking the 33rd consecutive week that it occupied the top-ranked Spanish-language network position.
Univision out-delivered one or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on six out of seven nights last week among Adults 18-34.
Univision’s “El Rico y Lázaro” attracted 1.7 million Total Viewers 2+, 667,000 Adults 18-49 and 265,000 Adults 18-34 while also positioned it as the No. 1 Spanish-language network during the weeknight 8pm hour, outperforming Telemundo by double-digits among Total Viewers 2+ (+83% adv.), Adults 18-49 (+44% adv.) and Adults 18-34 (+35% adv.).
In its second week on the air, Univision’s “La Bella y Las Bestias” increased its audience from the prior week among Total Viewers 2+ (+4% to 1.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (+6% to 651,000). The series also averaged more Adult 18-34 (257,000) viewers than the first-run episodes of ABC’s “Quantico” and “Take Two;” CBS’ “Instinct” and “Ransom;” NBC’s “Reverie,” “Shades of Blue” and “Taken;” as well as CW’s “Originals,” “Supergirl” and “The Hundred.”
Airing weeknights at 10pm, Univision’s “Por Amar Sin Ley” achieved its highest-rated weekly performance this past week with double-digit week-to-week audience gains among Total Viewers 2+ (+11% to 1.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (+10% to 696,000).
For the 18th consecutive Sunday night, Univision captured the No. 1 Spanish-language network for the entire night, surpassing Telemundo by +21% in the key 18 to 49 demographic.
