Laura Whitmore will present a new show on BBC Radio 5 live from this Sunday, 22 July starting at 11am.
TV presenter and broadcaster Laura Whitmore is to host her first ever radio show, with a live one hour Sunday morning slot on BBC Radio 5 live this summer.
Laura has a degree in Journalism and began her career in media as a researcher on an Irish national radio station. Since then she has worked for MTV and hosted ITV2’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here Now! for five years.
She is also a trained actor and last year toured the country with a stage adaptation of Peter James best seller Not Dead Enough. Earlier this year Laura presented ITV2’s Survival Of The Fittest.
In Laura Whitmore’s Sunday Session she will cover the news, views, music and entertainment that has caught her eye that week, and she will catch up with a range of guests – from musicians to journalists and from comedians to cultural and social influencers.
Plus there will be a regular Sunday Roast slot where she gets to interview an iconic figure.
Laura says: “I’m delighted to be joining the BBC 5 Live family. It’s going to be a lot of fun and full of debate and discussion over a wide range of topics. I can’t wait to get stuck in!”
Laura Whitmore’s Sunday Session on BBC Radio 5 live starts Sunday 22 July, 11am to midday, and will run for six weeks.
