The body of a 22-year-old software engineer has been found at Google’s New York City location on Eighth Avenue.
The New York Police Department have confirmed that the body of Scott Krulcik, who had worked for the search giant since August, was found by the building’s janitor at around 9pm on Friday evening.
According to local reports, emergency workers arrived on the scene swiftly but were unable to resuscitate Mr Krulcik who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Local authorities said that an autopsy would now be carried out at the Medical Examiner’s office to determine the cause of death, although the police said that there did not appear to be foul play involved. The police also confirmed that Mr Krulcik’s body did not appear to have been beaten or attacked in any way and showed no signs of trauma.
Google have not responded to media requests for a statement.
