WXIN/WTTV, Tribune Media’s FOX and CBS affiliates in Indianapolis, have announced Matt Waggoner as their new News Director.
Waggoner comes to WXIN/WTTV from Q13 FOX/JOEtv, (KCPQ/KZJO), Tribune’s duopoly in Seattle, WA, where he was most recently Assistant News Director and held multiple leadership positions since 2013. Prior to Q13 FOX/JOEtv, Waggoner was a news and sports producer at FOX12 in Portland, OR, and writer/producer at KPHO in Phoenix, AZ.
“Matt is an innovator and leader, with a vision and commitment to tell stories that matter, engage audiences across platforms and transform content,” said WXIN/WTTV General Manager Jamie Aitken. “Matt’s expertise and leadership will be a great asset to our newsroom.”

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
