NRK have appointed Daniel Ramberg as head of Network and Social Media, tasked with setting up and managing the network’s P3 project.
“Daniel Ramberg is a sharp journalist and has clear ambitions for the content of P3. He has a good overview of P3’s potential and challenges digitally, and has plans to turn it into concrete action”, says acting P3 editor Ingjerd Østrem Omland.
Omland added that she is very happy to be able to keep Ramberg in NRK – since September last year he has been a music director, but now he is permanently employed at NRK.
“It is a very exciting job that takes up everything that P3 does, and I look forward to helping drive good journalism in the spirit of P3,” said Ramberg.
– What P3 does and will do in the future is undoubtedly needed in Norwegian media flora and in NRK, so I look forward to joining it in the years to come.
The position is newly created, and collects the online operations of NRK under one editorial manager.
“The task is to make NRK P3 the best in the world in publishing and innovative content online”, says Østrem Omland. She added that she believes that Ramberg is the candidate with the best credentials.
“The good story is at the centre of everything we do. Here Daniel is the most visionary on behalf of NRK P3. Our assessment is that Daniel is robust and experienced enough to lead the task in this position”, added Omland.
There were a total of 44 applicants for the position.
