CTV London Promotes Sacha Long to Weekday Anchor

CTV London has appointed Sacha Long as their weekday anchor for the station’s CTV News at Six and CTV News at 11 newscasts.

Long is a respected journalist and a familiar face to London and Windsor viewers.  Long was previously a reporter, anchor, and producer in Windsor.  Having moved to London last September, Long has served as a reporter and fill-in anchor for weekend newscasts.

“I have thoroughly enjoyed meeting so many news-makers in the London region, and I’m really looking forward to being able to continue sharing their stories from the anchor desk,” said Long.

Steve Young, Director of News and Information Programming, CTV London, said; “Sacha is a skilled, hard-working journalist, and we’re very excited to welcome her to this new role. She connects with our audience and knows how to present the stories that matter most to our viewers.”

Long takes over from Camille Ross, who recently announced she will be moving to Kitchener next month.

Long is a veteran journalist with 18 years’ experience in the CTV News organisation. She has covered a range of important stories, including travelling to New Orleans in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. Long has also been recognised with several RTDNA awards, including a diversity award for her coverage of two blind parents who are raising three children.
