The Walt Disney Company has announced that it will pay a dividend of $0.88 per share to shareholders on 25th July.
The news of the dividend was announced by the companies board of directors in an update to the New York Stock Exchange.
In the update, Robert A. Iger, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company said; “We are pleased to deliver another substantial dividend to shareholders, reflecting our strong performance in the first half of fiscal 2019.
“With the upcoming launch of our Disney+ service and a greatly expanded portfolio of powerful brands and businesses from our acquisition of 21st Century Fox, we’re confident that the company is extremely well-positioned for continued growth.”
The dividend announcement follows a similar move by the company in January of this year, when it paid an identical $0.88 per share dividend.
