The best athletes on the planet are all heading to Doha for the 2019 World Athletic Championships, and the BBC will be there to deliver all of the action across TV, radio and online.
An unrivalled line-up of some the greatest sportsmen and women will be on hand for expert analysis and insight in Doha, including Michael Johnson, Jessica Ennis-Hill, Denise Lewis and Daley Thompson, who have all performed on the biggest stage.
Leading TV presentation duties in the Khalifa International Stadium will be Gabby Logan, who will be joined by former Great Britain sprinter Jeanette Kwakye and Radzi Chinyanganya. Also part of the BBC’s TV coverage are Paula Radcliffe, Steve Cram, Colin Jackson, Steve Backley and Toni Minichiello.

TV coverage starts on Thursday 26 September with Jessica Ennis-Hill’s World Class of 2019 on BBC Two, 7.30pm. Then, from Friday 27 September across BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Four, Red Button and BBC iPlayer, audiences will be able to watch every event live from Doha.
The Daily Doha – a daily BBC iPlayer highlights package – will be available every day and wrapping up the best of the day’s action and all the major talking points.
Steve Cram and Andrew Cotter will lead the TV commentary team, which also features Steve Backley, Paula Radcliffe, Denise Lewis, Colin Jackson and Toni Minichiello.
Five-time British champion Naomi Ogbeta will also join the team. The 21-year-old triple jumper will offer a current athlete’s perspective on the Championships as well as getting behind the scenes, posting videos and content available for all platforms during the 10-day event.
Radio 5 Live will provide live commentary across the Championship with Mike Costello presenting alongside Olympic gold medallist Darren Campbell and Commonwealth silver medallist Allison Curbishley.
The BBC Sport website and app will be streaming the World Championships live and there will be highlights and on-demand clips from the best of the action. All of the BBC’s TV coverage will be available live and on-demand on BBC iPlayer. BBC News will have a sports correspondent in Doha to cover all of the latest happenings at the World Athletic Championships. From 6.30pm, Sportsday will deliver the latest action and interviews, while Sportsday at 10.30pm each weekday will have a full round up of the day’s events.
