Extensive coverage of the 2019 General Election announced across BBC One Wales, S4C, Radio Cymru, Radio Wales and the BBC’s mobile and online services.

BBC Wales Live Election Debate

Join the BBC Wales Live team for two live debates as they put the burning questions to a panel of politicians. The first debate takes place in Pembrokeshire on Tuesday 26 November with the second on Tuesday 3 December from North Wales.

Election night coverage on BBC One Wales and Radio Wales

After the polls close, join Bethan Rhys Roberts as the results of the General Election unfold and the political landscape becomes clearer. The programme, also available on BBC Radio Wales, will feature live results, expert views and interviews with the successful and losing candidates.

Election night coverage on S4C and Radio Cymru

Follow the latest news and results on December 12 and into December 13 with Dewi Llwyd as he brings viewers on S4C and listeners to BBC Radio Cymru up to date. Expert guests will provide their views and analysis as the results unfold.

BBC Wales’ online election coverage will offer political news and analysis on desktop, mobile, tablet, the BBC News and BBC Cymru Fyw apps, as well as on social media. The online coverage will include the day’s news as well as explainers and a spotlight on the important issues.

On election night, services will offer multimedia live pages, results, rumours and expert analysis and we will be reflecting the latest developments across Wales on the @WalesPolitics Twitter account.

Throughout the election campaign, our daily news programmes will be following the journey to the polls, visiting the main battlegrounds and lifting the lid on some of the day’s political headlines.

BBC Radio Wales’s The Leaders Lounge Podcast

Bringing former leaders of the political parties in Wales together, this weekly podcast presented by former BBC Wales political Editor, Betsan Powys will analyse the week’s events. The panel will include former First Minister and former Leader of Welsh Labour Carwyn Jones AM, former leader of Plaid Cymru Leanne Wood AM, former Welsh Conservatives Leader Andrew RT Davies AM and Lord German former leader of the Welsh Liberal Democrats and former Deputy First Minister, as well as others. The podcast will be available on BBC Sounds.

BBC Radio Wales

BBC Radio Wales’s news programmes will have all the news from the campaign trail from day one. BBC Radio Wales Breakfast will be setting the day’s agenda, analysing the top news stories as they break and interviewing the politicians and Gareth Lewis will be analysing the day’s events on the way home on the Drive programme.

The weekly episode of Sunday Supplement will have comprehensive and in-depth discussion and analysis with Vaughan Roderick, while Jason Mohammad and Dot Davies will give audiences a voice every weekday morning on their phone-in programmes. In addition, listeners will have their chance to put their questions directly to each of the party leaders in Wales.

BBC Radio Cymru

BBC Radio Cymru’s new Specialist Reporter, Garry Owen will be reflecting on the electoral battle, visiting communities across Wales as well as taking the political pulse in Scotland, England and Northern Ireland.

The station’s new lunchtime news programme, Dros Ginio will feature in-depth interviews with key spokespeople from each party while Post Cyntaf and Post Prynhawn will be featuring the day’s main stories and pivotal events, while focussing on different constituencies and their hot topics.

Hawl i Holi will have a special election programme on 26 November.

A new weekly podcast – Llond bol o Bleidleisio – featuring the Radio Cymru news team and a host of special guests will be analysing the major news stories of the week.
