Washington Post & MSNBC Confirm Fifth Democratic Debate

The Washington Post and MSNBC have today announced that the fifth Democratic Debate will be held at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Georgia.

Tyler Perry Studios is a state-of-the art film and television production facility founded by actor and filmmaker Tyler Perry. The new 330-acre campus is one of the largest production studios in the country and located on the historic grounds of the former Fort McPherson army base.

The Nov. 20 debate is co-hosted by MSNBC and The Washington Post and will be moderated by Rachel Maddow, Andrea Mitchell, Kristen Welker and Ashley Parker.

Both MSNBC and The Washington Post are driving further innovations with the hosting of the fifth Democratic Debate, including by asking readers of the Post and viewers of MSNBC to submit questions that they would like asked.  Questions can be submitted until Monday, Nov. 11th by visiting here.

The deadline for candidates to qualify for the debate is Wednesday, 13th November at 11:59pm ET. The DNC will work with the Georgia Democratic Party and a variety of local organizations, including unions, local Democratic organisations and women’s rights organisations, to invite guests to the debate. Each campaign will also be allocated an equal number of tickets.

The debate will air live exclusively on MSNBC on Wednesday, 20thNovember from 9:00 to 11:00pm ET. It will also stream on msnbc.com and washingtonpost.com, as well as across mobile devices via NBC News and The Washington Post’s mobile apps. In addition, the debate will also be available in audio through SiriusXM Channel 118 and TuneIn.
