During the 2019-20 NBA G League season, ESPN+ will stream over 200 regular-season games, streaming live on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays throughout the season.
ESPNU and ESPNEWS will broadcast games from the 2019 MGM Resorts G League Winter Showcase, the G League’s premier in-season scouting event, on Thursday, Dec. 19, and Friday Dec. 20, beginning at 3 p.m. ET and Sunday, Dec. 22, beginning at 2 p.m.
On Saturday, Dec. 21, coverage will be available to stream on ESPN+, beginning at 3 p.m. The showcase spans four days and features 28 regular-season games in a tournament format. The championship game will air on ESPN2 Sunday, Dec. 22, at 7 p.m. There will be a $100,000 prize for G League players on the winning team.
A record 28 teams will compete in the G League’s 19th season. An all-time-high 42 percent of players on NBA start-of-season rosters had G League experience. Notable G League alumni include 2019 NBA Most Improved Player and NBA Champion Pascal Siakam, reigning back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year, Rudy Gobert, and NBA All-Star Khris Middleton.
Every team has at least three G League veterans, more than half of NBA teams have at least seven G League veterans, and three clubs (L.A. Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Washington Wizards) have 10 G League veterans on its roster.
