The AT&T family of companies has provided a combined $170,000 in contributions to organisations directly supporting those impacted by the Australia bushfires.
AT&T has committed to support Australia fire relief with $25,000 USD contributions to both the Australia Red Cross and the Foodbank of New South Wales.
WarnerMedia and Warner Bros. are supporting Ellen DeGeneres and her effort to provide relief by donating $100,000 to DeGeneres’s GoFundMe campaign, which will funnel funds to the Australian Red Cross and WIRES, Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organisation.
Xandr, AT&T’s advertising and analytics division, will contribute $20,000 USD funded by AT&T to WIRES to assist with ongoing wildlife rescue efforts.
Since September, the unprecedented bushfires in Australia have burned more than 17.9 million acres (7.3 million hectares) across its six states — an area larger than Massachusetts and New Hampshire combined. As of January 20, the fires have claimed the lives of at least 28 people, killed more than a billion animals and damaged or destroyed more than 3,000 homes.
