talkSPORT has confirmed that it is increasing the number of live Betfred Super League games it will broadcast this season.

The arrival of Sonny Bill Williams has added star quality to the competition and talkSPORT’s coverage began last Thursday with the curtain-raiser between Wigan Warriors and Warrington Wolves.

The commentaries will also be broadcast via the talkSPORT mobile app with Mark Wilson alongside some of the game’s greats every week throughout the season.

Toronto Wolfpack Head coach Brian McDermott said: “I’m excited to be back in Super League with the Wolfpack, and it’s great to be back on talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2 for the 2020 season.

“We’re planning to attract new fans to the competition, which is why we’ve signed players such as Sonny Bill Williams, and we’re delighted that some of our UK-based matches will be broadcast live on talkSPORT.

“I look at the strength of some of the teams in Super League this season and I see top quality players across the competition. It promises to be the best Super League season yet.”

talkSPORT National Radio Controller, Liam Fisher said: “Our listeners love Super League and its return will further strengthen our live sport offering across the network. The added star quality of Sonny Bill Williams this year will no doubt heighten interest further as we broadcast more Super League games than ever before.”

Players and coaches will feature every week on talkSPORT, plus Super League’s “Out of Your League” podcast will be part of the network’s comprehensive Betfred Super League coverage.
