Dotun Adebayo will take over from Rhod Sharp presenting BBC 5 Live‘s ‘Up All Night’ on weeknights. He currently presents the show at weekends.
Dotun Adebayo will replace Rhod Sharp, who announced he was standing down from the show last year, when he leaves in April.
As well as his weeknight duties on 5 Live, Dotun will also continue to present his Sunday evening discussion programme on BBC Radio London.
Dotun says: “Wow, what an honour it is to be given the privilege of hosting this amazing station five nights a week. It will be worth staying up for… I promise.”
Heidi Dawson, Controller of BBC Radio 5 live, says: “Dotun is well known to our listeners who love his warmth, humour and intelligence. He is an outstanding broadcaster with a passion for late night radio and just how important radio is to listeners at that time of night. There is no one better to succeed Rhod Sharp.”
Listeners can tune in to Dotun Adebayo 1-5am every Monday-Friday from April 6. Dotun can also be heard on Sunday evenings on BBC Radio London from 8-10pm, or via the BBC’s radio catch up service, BBC Sounds.
