TUDN has announced that it will be airing comprehensive coverage of Major League Soccer’s (MLS) 25th anniversary season.
The Spanish-language slate will include 31 regular season matches, along with the MLS All-Star Game, MLS Playoffs, and the MLS Cup during the historic 2020 season. TUDN will also provide select pre-game shows as part of “Fútbol Central,” as well as season-long coverage via studio shows “Somos MLS” and “Mercado MLS.”
Univision and UniMás broadcast networks will be home to MLS action this season, with all matches simulcast on TUDN, the No. 1 Spanish-language sports cable network in the U.S. The 14 regular season matches set to air on Univision mark the most-ever telecast on the flagship network. Games will also stream live on the TUDN and Univision apps, and TUDN.com.
In addition to Spanish-language commentary from TUDN’s best-in-class broadcast team, English-language commentary of all MLS telecasts will be available via SAP. Select matches will also be available on TUDN Radio.
In studio, TUDN’s “Fútbol Central,” featuring Alejandro Berry, Ivan Kasanzew, Adriana Monsalve, and Lindsay Casinelli, will provide pre-game coverage ahead of select matches during the season, beginning Saturday, February 29 as part of its telecast of Houston vs. LA.
TUDN’s weekly MLS highlight show “Somos MLS” returns for its fifth season. Airing Monday nights, the program will provide fans the most thrilling moments of the week and feature exclusive appearances by MLS players and coaches. Meanwhile, “Mercado MLS” is back with special episodes focused on the latest news around the MLS Draft, transfer windows and more.
Coverage in “Somos MLS” and “Mercado MLS” will include a team of talented sports journalists including José Luis Lopez Salido, Diego Balado, Raul Guzman, Nico Cantor, Daniel Nohra, Ramses Sandoval, Pablo Ramirez, Luis Omar Tapia, and Carlos Pavon.
