Univision has released polling data for Texas voters generally and Latino voters in Texas ahead of the primaries on Super Tuesday.
With only 4 days ahead of the Texas primaries and Super Tuesday, Univision News in partnership with the Center for Mexican American Studies at the University of Houston publishes its latest electoral polls: the Texas Voter Poll, a survey of registered voters in Texas, and the Latino Texas Voter Poll, which interviewed a robust sample of Latino registered voters in the state of Texas.
These new polls reveal Latino voters’ most current political preferences, voting intention, concerns, opinions on recent developments, views on President Trump and much more, in addition to providing a snapshot of the diverse battleground state of Texas.

Additionally, highlights of the polls’ findings will be featured beginning today in the Univision Network midday newscast “Noticiero Univision Edición Digital” as well as all other Univision Network news programs.
Overseen by Dr. Sergio Garcia-Rios, Director of Polling for Univision News, both surveys were conducted by the polling firms Latino Decisions and North Star Opinion Research between (February 21 and February 26, 2020). The Latino Texas Voter Poll was commissioned through a partnership between Univision News and the Center for Mexican American Studies at the University of Houston, while The Texas Voter Poll was commissioned by Univision News.
Following are some of the key findings from Univision News’ latest electoral polls:
Texas Voter Poll
Sanders doubled his support among registered Democratic voters in the state, from 13% to 26% since our last poll in Texas (Sep 2019).
Health care costs remain the biggest concern among registered voters in Texas.
Texas is evenly divided: 46% of registered voters say they will support any Democratic candidate, while 45% say they will support President Trump.
Bloomberg catches Biden in 2nd place among all Texans registered to vote.
Latino Texas Voter Poll
Sanders doubled his support among Latino registered Democratic voters in the state, from 16% to 31% since our last poll in Texas (Sep 2019).
81% of Latinos registered in Texas claim to be strongly (51%) or somewhat (30%) in favor of a proposed Medicare For All plan.
Strong approval of President Trump’s job performance among registered Latino voters in Texas increased from 16% to 22% over last five months.
Bloomberg outperforms Biden among Latinos registered in Texas.
