Univision has announced that Hector Martinez-Souss has been appointed President & General Manager of Univision Puerto Rico and Univision WOLE, effective immediately.
In this role, Martinez-Souss will oversee all operations for the portfolio of television, radio and digital properties on the island. Martinez-Souss will be based in San Juan and report to Luis Fernandez-Rocha, President and Regional General Manager.
An industry veteran with extensive knowledge of the Puerto Rican television and radio landscape, Martinez-Souss has over three decades of experience in international television production, broadcast rights, station management and sales. Most recently, Martinez-Souss led SM Group Inc. as its partner and founder, providing consulting services to a variety of media, sports and entertainment clients, including the International Basketball Federation and the Puerto Rican Olympic Committee, among others. Martinez-Souss previously served in senior leadership roles at WLII-TV (then branded as Tele Once) and WAPA-TV.

Hector Martinez-Souss, who is a lifelong native of Puerto Rico, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in Villanova University and attended the Inter American University’s Graduate School of Business.
