Coronavirus: Fox News to Air Virtual Town Hall on Education

Harris Faulkner

Fox News will present a virtual town hall “Outnumbered Overtime: America Learns Together”, moderated by Outnumbered Overtime anchor Harris Faulkner.

The virtual town hall will feature a remote audience comprised of parents and educators and will highlight the challenges of guiding students through a digital education during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Throughout the hour, Faulkner will be joined by Arne Duncan, former Secretary of Education under Barack Obama, Deb Delisle former Assistant Secretary of Education under Barack Obama, Bill Bennett, former Secretary of Education under Ronald Reagan and FNC contributor, as well as Child Psychologist Dr. Jessica Griffin to answer questions from parents and teachers who are helping children adjust to the virtual classroom experience. Topics to be discussed will include struggles those in the education system have faced with distance learning, tips for best practices and the future of the virtual class dynamic.

Outnumbered Overtime: America Learns Together is Faulkner’s fourth in-depth special broadcast during the coronavirus pandemic. Faulkner was one of the first cable news anchors to devote a full hour each day to viewer-submitted questions with Coronavirus Pandemic: Questions Answered, which launched on March 16th and continues to air daily, featuring doctor Q&As with leading medical experts.

On March 24th, Faulkner co-moderated a virtual town hall with President Donald Trump, Vice President Mike Pence, and members of White House coronavirus taskforce alongside FNC’s Bill Hemmer, which made history as the highest-rated cable news town hall ever.

Additionally on March 9th, Faulkner presented a virtual town hall surrounding the COVID-19 crisis alongside Dr. Mehmet Oz.

A six-time Emmy award-winning newscaster, Faulkner joined Fox News Channel in 2005 where she currently helms two back-to-back top rated weekday hours, Outnumbered (weekdays at 12PM/ET) and Outnumbered Overtime (weekdays at 1PM/ET).

Since July 2019, Faulkner’s Outnumbered Overtime has averaged 1.7 million viewers and 287,000 in the 25-54 demo, beating ABC News’ GMA 3 for a record 28 weeks in total viewers, in addition to serving as the top-rated program in all of cable in its timeslot.
