Fox News has tapped its leading personalities to helm an uplifting special spotlighting inspirational stories of resiliency during the coronavirus pandemic.
The programme, America Together, will air on Sunday, April 26th at 10PM/ET on Fox News and simulcast on Fox Business Network.
Hosted by Fox & Friends Weekend co-host Pete Hegseth, the one-hour program will welcome Fox News Media stars Sean Hannity, Maria Bartiromo, Harris Faulkner, Steve Doocy, Ainsley Earhardt, Ed Henry, Jesse Watters, Johnny Joey Jones and Rachel Campos Duffy as they share stories of Americans coming together during these uncertain times.
Part of the network’s new America Together cross-platform initiative, the special program will feature Hegseth as he speaks with his FNC colleagues about stories that have touched them as they have covered the global pandemic. Sean Hannity, host of the top-rated primetime show Hannity, will kick off the special with the inspiring inside look at our nation’s trucking industry, spotlighting the drivers on the front lines every day helping to keep America’s infrastructure intact.
Global markets editor and anchor of FNC’s Sunday Morning Futures as well as FBN’s Mornings with Maria, Maria Bartiromo will celebrate the small businesses that have been working together with their communities to endure the economic impact of the crisis. Specifically, Bartiromo will highlight Rouses Markets, a Louisiana grocery store chain that teamed up with local restaurants to offer ready-made meals while their dining rooms are closed, as well as an innovative New Hampshire fishing community that is bringing a whole new meaning to farm to table cuisine.
Fox Nation host and FNC contributor Rachel Campos-Duffy will then introduce viewers to the families of COVID-19, including stories of an infected mother who met her baby two weeks after she delivered while in a coma, as well as an ICU nurse who had to miss the birth of his baby while in isolation. Campos-Duffy will also detail her own baby daughter Valentina’s heart surgery during the pandemic.
Outnumbered co-anchor and anchor of Outnumbered Overtime Harris Faulkner will showcase the heartwarming stories of children doing extraordinary things to help those in need, including a Maryland boy who used $600 of savings to make coronavirus care packages for seniors. The Five co-host and Watters World host Jesse Watters will join the program to offer stories from across the country that have made him smile, including how a hospital in Northern Westchester County, NY has created “Code Sun” celebrating patients who have overcome the virus by playing The Beatles song “Here Comes the Sun.” As a new owner of a puppy himself, Watters will also spotlight the increase in pet adoption and how an animal shelter in Florida is empty for the first time as each pet has found a loving home.
Retired Staff Sergeant Johnny Joey Jones will spotlight the impact of the coronavirus on military communities and how veterans are helping each other during the shutdown, while Fox & Friends co-host Ainsley Earhardt will deliver uplifting messages of faith and hope amidst the national crisis. America’s Newsroom co-anchor Ed Henry will also feature celebrities who are using their powers for good, including MLB all-star Cal Ripken feeding the hungry and actor John Ratzenberg helping small business owners.
