Univision New York WXTV 41, the leading Spanish-language news station serving New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, received nine awards across multiple categories.
Amongst the awards, WXTV 41’s trophy haul included the coveted Outstanding Morning and Evening Newscast award, during the 63rd Annual New York Emmy® Awards Gala.
Held on Saturday, April 25th, 2020, this year’s winners were announced via social media transmission due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Every year, the prestigious New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) honours excellence in broadcasting among the New York Tri-state area’s finest.

Other notable wins for Univision New York include the Best Investigative Reporter Emmy for Berenice Gartner, the Education/Schools – Program Feature/Segment Emmy for “A Clase con El Canciller,” a series of educational segments with NYC School Chancellor Richard Carranza conducted by Mariela Salgado, and the Technology Emmy for Jose Pagliery’s work on “Ese no soy Yo,” an investigative segment about technology that alters the image and identity of victims without authorization.
Univision New York WXTV 41 was awarded a total of nine Emmys for outstanding achievement.
