The Weather Channel television network has announced the premiere dates for two new series as part of their slate of original programming to debut this May.
“World’s Deadliest Weather” and “Deadline to Disaster” are set to premiere on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM ET respectively. With these new series, the network continues to deliver compelling, weather-related storytelling to keep viewers entertained and informed.
“We’re excited to introduce two new series to our slate of original programming this Spring at a time where people are staying at home and looking for new content,” said Howard Sappington, Vice President of Original Programming at The Weather Channel.
“While the network is known for our live programming around severe weather events, our original programs provide our viewers with a different kind of look into the world of extreme weather.”
World’s Deadliest Weather – Series premiere airs on Sunday, May 3 at 8:00 PM ET
Experience the power of nature through the testimonies of those who have survived extreme weather events against all odds. Incorporating incredible user-generated footage, this new series re-lives some of the most extraordinary weather events the planet has ever seen, including the most catastrophic hurricane to hit the U.S. in 26 years and the flash floods that tore through homes in Queensland, Australia, forcing residents to wade to safety through crocodile-infested waters.
Deadline to Disaster – Series premiere airs on Sunday, May 3 at 9:00 PM ET
Disaster may be just seconds away, but in the chaos, many eyewitnesses still manage to capture the full fury of extreme weather on camera. From violent tornadoes to brutal hurricanes and fearsome flash floods, you’ll experience these storms from their unique vantage point as we count down the moments immediately before, during and after tragedy strikes.
The Weather Channel has said that it will continue to announce premiere dates of their other new programmes throughout 2020.
