Fox News’ virtual hall with President Donald Trump, “America Together: Returning to Work” drew in nearly 4 million total viewers on Sunday.
The ratings comfortably surpassed MSNBC and CNN combined in both total viewers and the key demo, according to early Nielsen Media Research reports.
Co-moderated by chief political anchor and Special Report’s Bret Baier alongside anchor and executive editor of The Story, Martha MacCallum, the event which focused on economic recovery amid the coronavirus pandemic, drew in 3.8 million viewers and 637,000 in the 25-54 demo, reigning number one in all of cable news in both categories on Sunday from 7-9PM/ET.
Outpacing CNN and MSNBC combined in both categories (+107% in total viewers, +60% in the key demo), FNC also had triple-digit percent advantages over each of the cable news networks in both categories during the two hour timeslot.
Additionally, the encore presentation of the town hall averaged more than 1 million total viewers and 274,000 viewers with A25-54, bringing the total viewership of the town hall to more than 5 million total viewers and nearly 1 million in the younger demographic. The broadcast, which aired live from the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C., posted triple-digit advantages in total viewers (+243%) and the key A25-54 demo (+248%) compared to the same time last year.
MacCallum and Baier’s first town hall with President Trump in Scranton, Pennsylvania on March 5th currently holds the record as the most-watched presidential election town hall in history with 4.2 million viewers and 744,000 in the 25-54 demo.
