Aquí y Ahora Celebrates 20 Years on Air

Aquí y Ahora

Univision’s Aquí y Ahora will celebrate 20 years on the air on Sunday, with a special programme looking back at some of the most important stories it has covered.

The world has changed dramatically in the last twenty years and “Aquí y Ahora” anchors and correspondents have documented the most important stories during that period.

From 9-11 and how it changed our way of travelling, to how drug-trafficking transformed economies and influenced the culture.

From how immigration laws have been tightened, to the spread of hate speech against the most vulnerable populations and most recently to the health and economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

During the last two decades, Univision’s highly rated prime-time news-magazine “Aquí y Ahora” has provided its viewers context to the world’s most important events through the voices of prominent experts and by the protagonists, including presidents, celebrities, athletes and public figures, who have shared both their darkest moments and their glory days through “Aquí y Ahora’s” unique style of storytelling.

“Aquí y Ahora” has also become the witness and narrator of the experiences of millions of immigrants whose lives have been transformed in the last 20 years of history. Join “Aquí y Ahora” this Sunday to celebrate 20 years of exceptional storytelling.

“Aquí y Ahora” ranks as the No. 1 prime-time news magazine in the current 2019/2020 season with more Hispanic viewers than the combined audience of ABC’s “20/20,” CBS’ “60 Minutes” and NBC’s “Dateline” with the key Adult 18-34 (+64% advantage) and Adult 18-49 (+11% advantage) demographics.
