Beginning Monday, June 1st, NBC Sports will broadcast “Super Bowl Week in America”, reliving seven classic NBC Super Bowls over seven days.
Ranging from Joe Namath’s guarantee in the Jets’ Super Bowl III victory to Malcolm Butler’s game-winning interception in Super Bowl XLIX, the week’s encores include unforgettable plays and historic performances from the likes of Tom Brady, Terry Bradshaw, Terrell Davis, John Elway, Joe Montana, Ben Roethlisberger, the Chicago Bears’ 1985 defense, and more.
The original broadcasts on NBC featured the current Sunday Night Football booth of Al Michaels and Cris Collinsworth, Hall of Fame coach John Madden, and legendary broadcasters Curt Gowdy and Dick Enberg, among others.
Liam McHugh will introduce each night’s matchup on NBCSN and NBC.
Throughout each game, McHugh will also speak with former players from each Super Bowl, including Super Bowl MVPs Joe Namath, Jerry Rice, Lynn Swann, Terrell Davis, and Santonio Holmes, Pro Football Hall of Famers Mike Singletary and Dan Hampton, and closing-second interceptor Malcolm Butler.
