DAZN Group has appointed Ben Barlow to the role of Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel, as it readies the business for its next phase of growth.
In this role, Barlow will be responsible for all DAZN Group’s global legal affairs including corporate governance, corporate compliance, and regulatory matters.
This includes rights and content, commercial partnerships, distribution and technology, intellectual property and company secretarial matters.
He will be part of the executive committee management team.
Prior to joining DAZN Group’s legal team in 2013, Ben Barlow worked in private practice at Olswang LLP (now CMS Cameron McKenna Nabarro Olswang LLP).
DAZN launched its sports streaming service in 2016, expanding to nine countries including Brazil, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain and the United States.
The business, headquartered in London, is now preparing to roll out the service to more than 200 countries and territories whilst bolstering existing markets with a renewed focus on the customer experience, its subscription business and non-live content.
