WXIN & WTTV to Air Town Hall Meeting on Race Relations

Indianapolis stations WXIN-TV (FOX59) and WTTV-TV (CBS4) will host an exclusive live Town Hall meeting examining the topics of race relations and social justice.

The program, titled “IN Focus: A Conversation on Race,” will air on both stations on Wednesday, August 26, from 7pm to 8pm ET.

The Town Hall will be hosted by FOX59 and CBS4 anchors Fanchon Stinger, Debby Knox, Nick McGill and Beairshelle Edmé, and will feature a variety of local community leaders, including: Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Chief Randal Taylor; City-County Council Member Maggie Lewis; Tanya McKinzie, with the Indiana Black Expo; Malachi Walker, with the Great Commission Church & Young Men, Inc.; Tony Mason with the Urban League; Nia-Hyatt Eldosougi with Black Women in Charge; Rick Snyder with the Fraternal Order of Police, and Wayne James with Indiana University.

“Recent events have drawn attention to the issues of race relations and social justice in central Indiana and across the country,” said Dominic Mancuso, Vice President and General Manager of WXIN-TV and WTTV-TV.

“‘IN Focus: A Conversation on Race’ will foster a positive dialogue on these subjects and offer a platform for our guests and viewers to share their experiences and discuss measures to help Indianapolis move forward together as a community.”

“IN Focus: A Conversation on Race” will be broadcast live on both FOX59 and CBS4, and a live stream will be provided on both fox59.com and cbs4indy.com.

The discussion and live stream will continue for an additional 30 minutes following the conclusion of the television broadcast.
