WHO 13 in Des Moines and central Iowa will air an exclusive telecast of a debate between the Democratic and Republican party candidates for the United States House of Representatives.
The debate for the Third Congressional District of Iowa, will take place between incumbent U.S. Representative Cindy Axne (D-3), and former U.S. Representative David Young.
“U.S. House of Representatives District 3 Debate – Iowa” will be taped on Wednesday, October 7th, at the studios of WHO 13 in Des Moines, IA, and be telecast later that day at 4 p.m. CT.
The one-hour debate will bring together thousands of viewers across central Iowa. Local viewers may also access a livestream of the debate online by visiting WHO13.com.
The debate will be moderated by WHO 13 News Political Director, Dave Price, who will pose questions to the candidates focused on current local and regional issues impacting communities across Iowa. The candidates will be asked for their views on education, health care and the coronavirus pandemic, infrastructure and the economy.
In addition to taking questions from the moderator, the candidates will respond to questions from local voters regarding issues that impact their local communities. Election day for this seat in the United State House of Representatives from Iowa, which is just one of four, will take place on Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
