CBC News has announced a two-hour primetime event focusing on the COVID-19 crisis in Canada, Confronting Covid: The National Virtual Town Hall.
The National’s Adrienne Arsenault and Andrew Chang will take questions from viewers across Canada for a live and interactive broadcast on Tuesday, December 1 at 8pm ET/5pm PT.
The special will air on the free CBC Gem streaming service, Facebook, and CBC News Network, which is now widely available in free preview to all subscribers on most major TV distributors across the country, and on CBC Gem, the CBC News app and CBCNews.ca.
The virtual town hall will deliver what viewers need to know now about the worsening COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, including candid conversations about the numbers, lockdowns, schools, and vaccines.
A panel of infectious disease and healthcare experts will tackle questions from Canadians directly, through social media and live video platforms, answering the questions that matter most to their families and communities about their health and livelihoods.
Live from The National studio in Toronto, Arsenault and Chang will connect with viewers from across the country to help them find information, clarity and hope to navigate the days, weeks and months ahead.
Canadians are encouraged to send their questions and stories for ‘Confronting Covid’ to COVID@cbc.ca and share with @CBCTheNational during the live broadcast, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
