NBC News’ Lester Holt will interview the top executives at Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson for a special edition of Dateline NBC this Thursday, December 3rd at 10pm ET/9pm CT.
As Covid-19 cases surge across the country, the hour-long primetime program will take a comprehensive look at what viewers need to know about the latest plans to get a vaccine into the hands of Americans and the expected challenges.
Ahead of the potential emergency authorization approvals from the FDA, Holt talks to Dr. Albert Bourla, chairman and CEO of Pfizer, Dr. Stephen Hoge, president of Moderna and Alex Gorsky, CEO of Johnson & Johnson in their first joint interview about their plans for vaccine distribution and efforts to overcome public mistrust.
“Race for a Vaccine” will also feature an interview with Dr. Moncef Slaoui, Operation Warp Speed chief advisor, who discusses the government’s plans to help slow the pandemic as the year comes to a close.
Additionally, Holt speaks with Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, co-chair of President-elect Joe Biden’s Covid Taskforce, about the upcoming administration’s strategy to persuade Americans who are hesitant to get a vaccine.
