Former Global National international correspondent Ben O’Hara-Byrne is returning to Corus Talk Radio to host A Little More Conversation.
The show will air nationally weeknights from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. to 1 a.m ET, and will debut on Corus Radio’s seven AM stations beginning January 10, 2022.
Driven by the veteran reporter’s curiosity, the show will feature compelling stories, diverse viewpoints, thoughtful questions and frank conversations on topics that matter to all Canadians.
Ben brings more than 20 years of journalism experience, having reported extensively from Canada, Asia and Europe. He began his broadcasting career in radio in Quebec City before moving to TV reporting with Global News in Montreal and Toronto, Global National in Ottawa, and Beijing as the network’s Asia Correspondent.
While at Global, he was awarded both the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) award and Edward R. Murrow Award for his news coverage. He was also the CTV Bureau Chief in London and Beijing for five years.
Additionally, Ben previously previously served as a TV network bureau chief in London, UK, a news anchor in Victoria B.C., and contributing columnist for the Star Vancouver.
Following in his mother’s footsteps to become a broadcaster, he studied journalism at Concordia University and political science at McGill University. Born and raised in Montreal with time spent in Edmonton, Ben now resides in British Columbia where he will report from primarily.
A Little More Conversation with Ben O’Hara-Byrne provides a forum to explore issues that unite and divide Canadians, fostering a better understanding of what matters and why.
From politics to public health, diplomacy to discrimination, affordability to artificial intelligence, and the environment to entertainment, the show will deliver a fresh approach to current affairs from a genuinely Canadian perspective. Each night, Ben will bring knowledge, warmth and humour to his conversations and share compelling stories about topics and issues that affect our country.
