A new smart TV app will soon be available for subscribers to stream their SkyNews.com.au Streaming Subscription on compatible Apple TV, Samsung and LG devices. They can also use other devices that operate with the Android TV system.
Through the new Sky News Australia smart TV app, customers can stream content across four dedicated channels. This app complements the existing mobile and tablet streaming app. New customers and existing customers can access Sky News Australia for $5 per month. They can also access Sky News Election Channel, Sky News Weather, and FOX SPORTS News at the same rate.

Sky News Australia Investigative Reporter Jonathan Lea hosts a new documentary Into the Deep: Australia’s Submarine Gamble premiering in February. The investigation looks closely at AUKUS. AUKUS is the trilateral security partnership between Australia, the UK, and the US. This partnership was announced on 15 September 2021.
More than three years have passed. Work is underway on Australia’s new fleet of nuclear submarines, estimated to cost $368 billion. Lea spends time on board one of Australia’s current Collins class subs. She speaks with senior military and political figures from across the AUKUS alliance partners.

In 2024, Sky News Australia ranked as the top non-sport channel on Foxtel. It was also the top weekday channel. The channel delivered a record audience share across the year. Average audiences increased by 4% year-on-year.
Regional free-to-air viewers watched Sky News Regional in record numbers. The linear broadcast channel delivered its highest ever audience share. It grew its average audience by +18%.
Sky News Australia digital platforms also achieved a record year, delivering more than two billion video views.
