talkSPORT, the largest sports radio station globally, is expanding onto smart TVs.
talkSPORT are teaming up with top brands like LG Channels, FireTV, Apple TV, and Google TV. Starting in early February, they will collaborate with Samsung TV Plus.
This new move allows smart TV viewers to enjoy talkSPORT’s extensive sports coverage. They can also access engaging discussions and fresh shows directly on their devices for free.
Fans can now watch their favourite shows and presenters in a visual format at no cost. These include Breakfast with Jeff Stelling, Ally McCoist, Alan Brazil, and Shebahn Aherne. It also includes shows with Jim White, Simon Jordan, and Drive with Andy Goldstein and Darren Bent.
Since it started, talkSPORT has led the way in free sports broadcasting, providing excellent content to millions around the world. Moving to smart TV is a natural step for the brand. The brand already sees 150 million views on YouTube each month. It achieves this by using modern studios and technology to suit today’s sports fans.
talkSPORT is launching as a 24/7 FAST channel (free ad-supported streaming TV) on LG Channels and Samsung TV Plus. Fans can download the new talkSPORT app on FireTV, Apple TV, and Google TV. This provides easy access to their favourite sports content across various devices. More partnerships for FAST channels and video on demand will be revealed soon.
Liam Fisher, Head of talkSPORT, said; “talkSPORT is already a huge hit on YouTube – attracting over 150m views of its brilliantly visualised content every month. These partnerships with the leading smart TV operators in the UK open the door to new audiences and ensure fans can experience the very best in sports content like never before.
“Our peerless line-up – including Alan Brazil, Ally McCoist, Jeff Stelling, Simon Jordan, Jim White, Lianne Sanderson, Andy Goldstein, Darren Bent and Shebahn Aherne – will be available on the big screen in high definition. You have been warned!”
This move to smart TV opens up new chances for brands and advertisers to connect with talkSPORT’s engaged sports audience. Alongside the launch, there will be new original video programming. This includes club-focused shows and a weekly Women’s Football Show, The Kick Back. This comes just in time for a busy summer with the UEFA Women’s Euros. It gives partners more ways to get involved.
