SCA has promoted Carla Mathisen to Head of Sales in Brisbane, replacing Hamish Rose who is leaving the business.
Carla Mathisen will focus on growth and strengthening client relationships, ensuring that SCA continues to be a leading audio and media company in Brisbane.
Mathisen has been with SCA for ten years. She began her career as an Account Manager and later advanced to Group Sales. In 2023, she took on the role of Head of Agency Sales, succeeding Hamish Rose.
Hamish Rose has worked at SCA for 13 years, including five years as the Head of Sales in Brisbane. He is leaving SCA to become a licensee with McDonald’s.
During his time at SCA, Hamish led the Brisbane sales team and managed the Boomtown Radio team. He also played a crucial role in bringing ACE Radio Network on board.
Hamish leaves the company with an excellent reputation.
Carla Mathisen expressed her excitement about starting her new role at SCA. She appreciates the clients, agencies, and colleagues in Brisbane and thanked Hamish for his guidance. Mathisen is eager to collaborate with the team to achieve even greater success.
Hamish Rose discussed his upcoming career change, stating that his time at SCA has been amazing. He values the opportunities he had to grow professionally, and while radio will always be important to him, he feels it is time for a new challenge.
Hamish appreciates the support he received from his SCA team and is happy to pass the baton to Carla, believing she will help the team succeed.

Carla Mathisen will report to Luke Minto, SCA’s National Head of Audio Sales, and will commence in the new role on April 28.
