The first game of ESPN’s signature NFL Week 1 Monday Night Football doubleheader — Pittsburgh Steelers at the New York Giants (7 p.m. ET) — delivered cable’s third-highest audience for a sporting event in 2020 and cable’s best in the category since January, as the game averaged 10,760,000 viewers.
The 51st season of Monday Night Football will kick off on ESPN with a doubleheader Monday, September 14 – Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New York Giants (7:15pm ET) and Tennessee Titans vs. Denver Broncos (10:10pm / 8:10pm MT).
ESPN will re-air iconic Monday Night Football games from the past 15 years every Monday night at 8 p.m. ET for the next five weeks, March 30 – April 27.
